Terms of Service
Last updated August 20, 2026
1. The Advicery marketplace
Advicery operates an online marketplace that connects customers seeking professional advice with independent professionals who offer consultation services. Advicery is not a party to the advisory relationship formed between a customer and a professional, and does not itself provide financial, legal, medical, or other professional advice.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials. Professional accounts are subject to a verification review before services can be published on the marketplace.
3. Bookings and payments
When you book a service, payment is collected at the time of booking and held until the consultation is completed. Advicery charges professionals a platform commission on completed bookings, disclosed in the professional dashboard. Cancellation and refund terms are set out in Section 5.
4. Professional verification
Professionals must submit a valid government-issued ID and supporting credentials (licenses, certifications, or equivalent) for review before their profile is published. Advicery reserves the right to reject, suspend, or remove a professional profile at its discretion, including after publication, if credentials cannot be verified or standards are not maintained.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Customers may cancel a confirmed booking free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Cancellations inside that window, or no-shows, may be charged in full at the professional's discretion. If a professional cancels a booking, the customer receives a full refund.
6. Reviews
Only customers who completed a paid booking with a professional may leave a review for that professional. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences and may not be exchanged for compensation. Advicery may remove reviews that violate these terms.
7. Prohibited conduct
You may not use Advicery to circumvent the platform for payment, misrepresent your identity or credentials, harass another user, or use the service for any unlawful purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
Advicery provides the marketplace platform on an "as is" basis and is not liable for the advice given by professionals using the platform, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or through the platform before they take effect.
